ENERGY FROM THE SUN!

In this fun STEM3Dkits Solar Battery Charger project students will design, print and then build their very own solar battery charger that they can use to re-charge AA batteries for all their other STEM3Dkits projects.  Clean energy is important for the future of our planet!


The course content guides students through the design process. Students will be putting their maths and dimensional measurement skills to the test to design and then 3D print their solar battery charger. It also instructs them step by step on how to assemble their solar charger.  In conjunction with the course material, the complete Solar Battery Charger kit from STEM3Dkits includes:


  • Complete solar charger electronics kit (rechargeable AA batteries not included).
  • Base STL file (CAD model) link which students use as a starting point for their design.
  • Online access to student course content
  • Online access to teacher guide content

In this project students will learn about the design process and also how to take measurements that are then implemented into their design. You may also teach further on solar power, renewable energy, the environment and electronics!
